I'm a huge fan of both Marts' western romances and her hockey romantic comedies, so I couldn't wait to read this second chance romance that combined them both! And the wait was totally worth it! Rockford James was a hero who was handsome and hot, but also charming and I loved the way this confident guy still got nervous around his high school sweetheart. He and Quinn were so fun together and I was rooting for them throughout this whole fun and heartwarming story. It was a light, easy read that had sweet and steamy moments- the texting scene was my favorite- and I couldn't put it down until I devoured the entire swoony read. I also loved Rock's brothers and can't wait to read their stories next. Hockey-playing cowboys...yes please!

I love cowboys and second chance romances and we get the best of both worlds in Jennie Marts’ CAUGHT UP IN A COWBOY!

Rock and Quinn grew up next to each other, playing together, getting in trouble together, and falling in love under the Colorado sky. Then Rock crushed their love and Quinn’s heart in pursuit of his professional hockey dreams. That was nine years ago. Now Rock’s back at home to convalesce and secretly hopes to run into Quinn while he’s here.

Quinn can’t believe she’s looking in to the face of Rockford James as he pulls alongside her on the way back to her family’s ranch. Rock is sexier than ever but thankfully it’s dampened by Quinn’s tightly-coiled anger from what happened so many years ago. It doesn’t take long before Rock starts getting under her skin again and Quinn knows she’s in trouble. While these feelings are wonderful, the reality of Rock leaving to go back to his hockey team—and leaving her again—is constantly in her thoughts.

I absolutely LOVED this book! What I love most about second chance romances is that the characters have a history together. And boy, what a history these two have! I heart Rock and Quinn so much! Their chemistry was electric and their page time together was equally delightful and exasperating! A perfect pair!

I loved the small-town setting where everyone knows everyone else's business. It was quite entertaining when Rock and Quinn started spending time together, giving the townsfolk plenty to gossip about! I will say though, it didn’t take long for me to warm up to Rock. He was so amazing with Quinn’s son Max! Hold on to your ovaries ladies!

There were so many wonderful secondary characters that really added so much warmth and apple pie to the storyline! Apple pie in the sense that it’s both comforting and always reminds you of home. Annnnd now I’m hungry 😊

CAUGHT UP IN A COWBOY is everything I want in my romances and so much more! I invite you to take a chance on Rock and Quinn. You’ll laugh, cry and love right alongside them and their motley crew of family and friends!

Ok for a weekend read. Seem a little drawn out with rehashing of same stuff. Nice twist in it not his so. But not enough for real interest
This book is a great story of finding out what is important in your life and what to do about it.
Oh my, what's not to love about a hockey star/cowboy. I have fallen in Love with Rock, watch out Quinn. Oh, I guess it's too late for that. Rock has returned home with an injury from the NHL, when he sees his old flame from high school, Quinn. He soon realizes the mistake that he made years ago and now to convince Quinn, that this is the real thing.

Loved these characters!! Rock is just so hunky and a very giving person. Quinn is a single mom but very independent and her son, Max is her number one. Max just steals the story, I just fell in love with him.

This story will leave you smiling, ok I did shed a tear or two. I highly recommend this book.

Up happens when you make a decision when you are a teenager and it turns out to be a selfish one? That is what this book explores. Rockford James gave up the love of his love to explore his dream of the big life of hockey. Quinn turns the tables and has a one-night stand that ends up with an unexpected pregnancy. This is the story of two people meeting up again and overcoming the past while loving a beautiful little boy Max. This was a heart-warming story. There was a few inconsistencies that should have been caught in editing that threw me off. One was how Quinn's dad was to cheap to put in a dishwasher but then Quinn loads the said non-existent appliance with dishes. Also there were a few sentences where a word was missing and I would have to figure it out. A story like this one should have been edited better.
I have read several books by Jennie Marts in the past, and was very hopeful about this one. Unfortunately, it didn't quite live up to expectation. I would guess that approximately half the book went on and on about what each of the main characters was thinking - which happened to be exactly what had been explained in the first few pages. Why do some authors feel the need to repeat this type of information again and again? More action and conversation and less repetition, please? And the story line was just OK - not much to it, actually.
