As always, Angeline swept me up and transported me to a time long ago. Described with wonderful detail and emotion, you feel as though you are right there with the characters. I have six of your books now and have been thoroughly entertained by them all along with your sense of humor and attention to detail, all the players come to life. I am trying to wait patiently for the next installment, but discovered the "question" series and will start on that shortly. Being disabled, a favorite passion of mine is getting swept away in a good book, the pricing has been great to allow me to join in these escapes to a grander time and place. Thank You so much for your talent in spinning such tales for us to enjoy. Did not catch but three little errors and they weren't even enough to stop the flow of the story or be distracting. I have been told my lineage is Scot/Irish so I love reading about the Scottish countryside. Love your books, could not put this one down and finished it in two days. "Keep um coming please!"

This author, I have found, has a BOUNTY of exciting, adventurous and romantic books with just enough spice, but so much as to make you want to skip the chapter. I read every line with relish and am going on to my fourth.. Or will this be number five? GREAT READS!
I never considered myself a fan of these kind of fanatical tales of time travel, til lately. This particular series is pretty good. Good storiylines, and chemistry. Love the chemistry. Without it, you don't have anything.
Love that both Al & Kier found love with each other! Both being unsure of being 'lovable', found their true passionate about science, independence & sexuality partner for life.
Did have a bit of a problem with the reference to Hugh being transported to Tacoma, when he really was sent to Spokane, WA instead. Being a person living in Spokane, I definitely noted that mistake.
The twist on this time travel romance made it really stand out as unique among the many time travel books I've had the pleasure to read. Mrs. Fortin fills her stories with historical details as well as slipping in a few "what ifs" to stir the readers creativity and imagination making them begin to consider true events in life, and how one different move could have changed history. Though Scotland has some exceedingly sad and devastating history, there has always been their indomitable spirit. This is a must read if you enjoy time travel possibilities and are of a curious nature! I'd highly recommend this book as well as all the others Mrs. Fortin has written for our entertainment.
This book did not work for me, could not hold my attention, perhaps it was the different dimensions, I don't know, but to be fair the author writes well, it's just that this book left me skipping through it, I did not feel involved with the characters, did not feel any real attachement to them, but others might. But this timetravel book, made me yawn, sometimes storylines in a series just burn out, I think that is what is happening here.

This is a good time-travel romance, with a mostly likeable couple. My one issue is that the H was horrible at the first, so bad that I really don't understand how the h could have forgiven him so easily. It was silly, and a bit of an insult to women, that his good looks made it easier for her to forgive him.

After that first part, the H did get a lot better. He seemed to understand the h, when no one from her own time period ever really did. They turned out to be perfect for each other. I do think, though that she would have been more upset about being stuck in the past, knowing there was no way she could get home.
Although a nobleman, a Laird, Keir MacCoinnach was also a scholar and warrior and through a laboratory accident, scientist, Al Maine found herself catapulted in time from 2013 to 1746 at the Battle of Culloden ending at his feet. At first angered and grieving he imprisoned her, but after time finding out from where she came from and what she knew (it didn't hurt that she was beautiful), they developed a rapport that advanced to love! What I liked most about this book was how the showed love changing and inspiring both characters to greater success. I was definitely seduced by Keir, I LIKE this book! 😊😊😊😊😊
