****I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.****After spending the summer in Brazil, Yara is blissfully reunited with Brent and her friends having been apart from them for three months at the beginning of Indelible. They aren't able to relax for long when the angry ghost of Pendrell Academy's founder's wife begins a new mystery to solve and attaches herself to Yara.
Yara is closer than ever to the spirit world, closer than most Wakers, making her more powerful but also putting her in more danger. The fact that she isn't quite ready to let go and fully embrace being a Waker rang true with me and was so realistic - I can completely understand where she's coming from, especially at her age. I don't think anyone could expect her to just accept it right off the bat, not even her grandma.
Yara and Brent have to be one of the best couples in YA fiction, if not the best. I think it's so cool that they share an important secret which allows them to understand each other in ways someone else couldn't. They're mature for their age, and there's actual substance to their relationship. They're completely refreshing.
I must admit while the beginning of Indelible sets up the plot of the book nicely, I worried it wasn't going to be as addictive a read as the first book, Intrinsical. That didn't end up being the case at all - the action soon absorbed me, and I was on the edge of my seat, unable to put this book down.
I loved Intrinsical, but Indelible blew me away. Just when I thought I couldn't love the characters more than I already did, Woodland proved me wrong, and I've never been more happy to be wrong. Indelible is that magical.

Indelible Yara Silva Trilogy Lani Woodland Books Reviews
Indelible was even better than the first book! Usually second books are a bit slower paced and they tend to fall short of the first novel... but not Indelible.
This book was never boring and always had something going on. I liked that Yara was a strong minded MC who stuck to her feelings. She wasn't swayed by what everyone wanted her to do and in the end made her own decisions. I also liked that once again, there was no love triangle and Yara and Brent's relationship felt real. They had their disagreements and issues but they were real, no insta-love, no mushy guy with no backbone. It's refreshing!! Cherie and Steve were also great once again! I try to write spoiler free reviews as much as possible, so I won't say a ton about the story itself. I will say that this book certainly had a great amount of "creep" factor going on which I loved! Like the first book, the storyline wasn't predictable and kept me guessing.
Overall, a great addition to the trilogy and I can't wait to find out where the last book takes us with Yara!
This book was awesome! I loved it! This second book is even better than the first if that is possible. I loved that this one started out with romance and it continued all the way through. It was nice to see that a relationship could be sustain nicely with all its ups and downs all the way through a story. Brent and Yara's love story is so sweet and they are so in love and perfect for each other. I think this is the first book I have read were it is constant through out. Most books build up to it, or there is something always in the way and then they can be together etc., you get my point. I loved the romance great job Lani! By know means is this the whole book there is so much to this story as Yara and Brent try to solve a lot of problems going on at their school.
The secret society with in the school notices Yara, and Brent and their unique abilities, and they want them for their own evil purposes. Sophia the ghost who is now plaguing Yara's life was intense(geesh ever heard of a psychotic ghost, she was scary). She also holds information that many people want, and are willing to take extreme measures to make sure they get it. Brent is having side effects from last years events. There are ghost, a secret society, love, betrayal, mystery and suspense a plenty. Another favorite part to Lani's books are all the relationships wheather with family or friends. I thought they were well done.I completely enjoyed this unique book and look forward to the next.
clean language
clean romance
After a summer of training with her grandmother Vovo, in Brazil. Yara has returned to attend Pendrell academy for her senior year. She is still as smitten with her boyfriend as she was last year and after a summer away, things are looking good. But upon meeting a stranger with some dangerous secrets and a very angry ghost on her first day back home, things start to go downhill for Yara and her friends too fast. Moving back to Pendrell has Yara's family concerned for her life, but this time Brent's life is the only thing Yara is concerned about. There are changes happening at the school, the construction of a new building on the site of the old haunted grounds. A new headmaster that seems to have taken a personal interest in Yara and her friends. Not to mention Yara can feel others projecting and she knows its not her or Brent doing it. When the mysterious stranger turns up attending her school, things are looking bad and Yara knows she's being followed. Lets not forget the angry ghost, Sophia that has decided to make Yara's life a living Hell. Yara will have to make some very difficult decisions to try to save not only her life, but those of all her loved ones.
The second book in the trilogy blew me away, it has an immediate grab on the reader with the introduction of the clues and action right away. It's a paranormal mystery that really focuses on the the school and it's history. All the characters play a part in this puzzle and the 2nd book takes off right into the continuation of the story from the previous book. It's all one story that continues to grow and become darker and more intense each volume. Now that Yara and her friends are graduating this year, it will be interesting to see where the third book takes us and I have my hopes up to maybe see a little bit of Brazil in the final chapter of this trilogy.
